Do you think that people have taken twittering too far?
Posted under Twittering by adminSome choose to tweet what they ate for lunch while others tweet more significant events…

Do you think that she was wrong for posting this on twitter? Should some subjects be off limits?

No, I don’t think it was wrong. I do think it was pretty tasteless, though. Personally I would not post things which many other people would find distressing.
And I’m bemused by how she can "not believe in faith". Does she think religious people are making up how they feel?

It would be nice if all people had the common sense to keep certain topics off limits but this world is filled with whole lot of people who just haven’t got a clue, and we have free speech *shrug*
In the article it said she was doing this for her son, so he would still have a mother but in turn she’s put his life in danger. That’s ironic to me and so is the fact that these people who are threatening the life of an innocent 4 year old little boy claim to be pro-life.
Bunch of lunatics if you ask me.
She could have done this for whatever reason and kept it private but she didn’t because she wanted make people see that abortion isn’t as bad as people think. Hmmm…I’m pro-choice but I think people SHOULD think it’s a scary thing to do. It’s not supposed to be birth control. Dayum.
There is something wrong with that woman.

I guess it all depends on what they twitter. I personally think yes they have but some people feel that is the way to express their selves so I say whatever floats your boat.

i don’t see a problem with her posting that and i think her reasons for doing it were totally understandable. but the death threats were pretty predictable and personally as a mom i wouldn’t have gone there.
i think issuing death threats is what should be off-limits.
i don’t understand the "i’m having lunch" phenomenon at all. who cares?

Speech is still free so she had every right to post that content. Honestly she should be ashamed of herself for making light of such a horrible thing. Then again if she can murder her baby than I doubt shame is an emotion she is capable of.

I think its pretty tastless but i dont think she should be banned from saying things like this. It’s pretty tacky

Yes, people have taken it too far. I wouldn’t choose to publish such a private experience/choice, personally.
I see what she’s saying, that she wants people to know what it’s really like, and I see that she gave reasons for why she made the choice she did. Her point would’ve been stronger if she said that she’d tried to prevent pregnancy, knowing that she didn’t want to go through childbirth again. I didn’t see that.

Isn’t the US a free country ? She can tweet whatever she wants, be it abortion or what she’s wearing that day. If people don’t like it, then simply don’t look.

To be honest, nothing could shock me after hearing about this:

(The mother who tweeted saying it is foggy, then tweeted a few minutes later saying paramedics were trying to save her 2 year old minutes after he fell in a pool (since her last tweet), and then just a few hours later tweeted about his death). The abortion story doesn’t leave me as cold as this one. If you’re thinking of twitter when your child is fighting for his life, that’s when it’s gone too far. Perhaps if she was less obsessed with updating the world of every minor detail, she’d have been keeping a better eye on her child in the first place.
