I read an article that Republicans twitter twice as much as Democrats. I don't know whether this news article on Yahoo news is a joke or if it is true as it didn't mention what Twittering and tweeting is. Any idea?
http://tech.yahoo.com/blogs/patterson/35925
A new Web site is tracking which U.S. House and Senate members have discovered the joy of tweeting—and which haven't.
The L.A. Times tech blog has the scoop on Tweet Congress, the aptly named site that lets you search for Twitter-savvy House representatives and Senators by name or location.
You can also find out who's the most followed (John Culberson, R-TX, with an impressive 5,932 Twitter followers, and counting) and the most active (yep, ditto). Indeed, Republican tweeters outnumber Democrats almost two-to-one (41 to 24), while Independents—I'm looking at you, Lieberman—are still in the dark when it comes to the red-hot microblogging service. (Speaking of which … click here for a quick Twitter primer.)
Pop quiz: Which state is leading the pack when it comes to best Twitter representation? If you guessed California, New York, or Washington state (home of Microsoft, right?), well, you guessed wrong. Instead, try South Carolina, with four of its eight U.S. representatives tweeting away. Up next: New Mexico (two of five) and Ohio (seven of 20). Among the many zilches: New York, the District of Columbia, Washington—and yes, Alaska.
Also interesting, but a little harder to quantify: Finding out which representatives are actually Tweeting themselves, and who's just staffing it out. Rep. Culberson of Texas looks like he's really getting into it ("you will always be talking to me not staff," he tweeted last week). Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill also seems to be getting into the spirit: "What a game. Found myself pulling for the underdog", she Twittered during the Super Bowl.
On the other hand, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi needs to loosen up, if her recent tweets ("On The Senate Passage of the State Children's Health Insurance Program are any indication.

Web 2.0 Marketing
i have a idea, i have done some research about the marketing but i need to know how much the website will cost me, and have much will cost to per year?? i know that it depends on the traffic but i need to know, the standars cost of a website web 2.0, like hi5.com…
i know that, but i am asking about the desing?? how much will be that? 100k???
i know about the servers and dedicated hosting providers, so i need help for the desing of the website?? how much would that be?
yes i will start it from the ground…
but the most important thing is the people can send emails invitations to all their contacts…
any advise???
There are no standards to the cost of designing a social networking application.
Google offered $30,000,000 to Friendster, but the owner turned them down. I'm sure it doesn't cost that much to develop a social networking website, but you can probably get the picture.
A quick search of Sourceforge.net didn't offer much in the way of moderately mature development of any open source social networking structures, so my guess is that you'll be building mostly from the ground up.
Aside from the cost of development you'll have cost of hosting. Host cost are more standard, and considering the needs of a social networking site similiar to hi5.com, I noticed from a whois of hi5.com that they have their own name servers, you would need to house your own servers or at the very least have dedicated servers hosted by someone else.
Hosting yourself would be less expensive, assuming you live in an area that provides T1 networking at a reasonable rate. If you have one administrator, administering your server (stay away from IIS if you want to save money) you're looking at at least the cost of his/her time as well as the cost of the server (486 w/apache probably won't cut it in this scenario).
